Adobe Products (used mainly for this class)
Adobe systems is a huge software company that was founded in 1982. It is most famous for its creation of multimedia and creativity software products. In this class we will be focusing on the software that is most commonly used by graphic designers. Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop will be the focus of this class.
This is most commonly used to create layouts for magazines, posters, books, or any other printed publications. The Berkeley Times and the yearbook are put together with this software.

Illustrator is mainly used to create vector graphics. A vector graphic is one that can be resized but not loose the resolution. Illustrator can be used to create logos, posters, and many elements and designs that may be used to put in a layout. Many times the creative or artistic things are made in Illustrator and then imported into InDesign in a layout.

Photoshop is probably the most well known software. It is used to edit photos! :) Photoshop is quite a powerful tool with endless possibilities to create works of art.
