Objective: Answer essential question "How can you be smart while researching and creating online?" Warm Up: Typing practice 10 minutes (one test due this week) 1. Teacher- Review common errors on reflection 2. Independent- Revise and edit reflection piece 3. Independent- Prepare work for bulletin board
Day 13: Wednesday, November 20th Objective: Reflect on unit and answer essential question. Warm Up: Student graded rubric 1. Review Essential Question 2. Brainstorm key ideas using Popplet 3. Go over paragraph structure (on google doc)
4. Write reflection paragraph in Google Doc. (share with teacher) Day 12: Monday, November 18th Objective: Peer Edit and Revise websites/Report the work you have done for Global Collaboration Project Warm Up: Typing Practice (10 minutes, and a test will be due this week) 1. 10 minutes of clean up work on websites 2. No later than 10:10- Peer Review Websites 3. Make modifications/changes on websites based on feedback
Day 11: Thursday, November 14th Objective: Peer Edit Website Warm Up: Typing Practice (practice and take test-10 minute) 1. Finish website by 10:30 2. 1st Draft Peer Edit 3. Global Collaboration Free Time Work Day 10: Tuesday, November 12th Objective: Synthesize research into your weebly website 1. Continue to work on website today you should: (9:50-10:30)
2. Touch base with Global Students Global Perspectives project (10:30-11ish)
Day 9: Friday, November 8th Objective: Synthesize research into your weebly website Warm Up: Typing Practice/Quiz 1. E-mail communication with your Global Collaboration group
3. Work on website design
Day 8: Wednesday, november 6th Objective: Gather and synthesize research for topic and Utopian Community Warm Up: 10 minutes typing practice 1. Check email for group member placement
3. Work Time: Finish research for topic and begin constructing website
Day 7: Monday, November 3rd Objective: Gather and synthesize research for topic and Utopian Community 1. Introduction to Global Collaboration Project
4. Code Time Day 6: Wednesday, October 31st Objective: Gather and synthesize research for your topic Warm Up: Typing Practice (one test must be updated this week) 1. Research time for topic
Day 5: Tuesday, October 29th Objective: Outlining the structure of a website Warm Up: Typing Practice Did you vote for ESLR poster? 1. Complete/review with teacher the brainstorm of topics and reliable websites that was completed over break.
3. Fill out the "About Author" section and begin researching
Day 4: Wednesday, October 16th Objective: use guidelines to evaluate the credibility of online content Warm Up: Typing Practice (Must log one typing test this week) 1. Research: The truth about Dihydrogen Monoxide
Day 3: Monday, October 14th Objective: Use guidelines to evaluate the credibility of online content Warm Up: Typing Practice of Your Choice (until 10am) 1. Research: Could there be life on other planets? (Evaluate 2)
